The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is currently investigating two separate fatal shootings which occurred over the Easter weekend.
The first took place in the community of Diamond on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Police said a report was received of a shooting incident along the Diamond Main Road.
The victim, Diazhaun Jack, a 20-year-old labourer from the area, was discovered at the scene. Jack sustained multiple gunshot wounds about his body. He was officially pronounced dead at the scene. Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit processed the area and collected several exhibits believed to be of evidential value to the investigation.
Last year Jack, and another co-accused, were charged with wounding and robbery of a Lowmans Windward resident.

The second shooting claimed the life of Oranson Garraway, a resident of Layou. The 26-year-old was shot dead while coming from his father’s funeral on Saturday, April 19, 2025 around 7 pm. A suspect was reportedly apprehended in connection with the fatal shooting.
Garrway was in 2020 brought up on multiple robbery charges along with another co-accused also from Layou. While some of the matters were discharged from the court, Garraway still had two robbery-related offenses pending at the Serious Offenses Court (SOC).
The RSVGPF is urging anyone with information that may assist in these incidents to contact the Major Crime Unit at 1-784-457-1211 ext. 4837, or the nearest police station. All information received will be treated with the strictest confidence.
